The Client

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) provides comprehensive products, services, and technologies for the commercial transportation industry. They design and manufacture medium and heavy-duty trucks, school buses, and vehicle chassis under the Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp, and Detroit brands.


The Ask

The DTNA Parts department was searching for a comprehensive way to educate their dealer parts professionals that ensured consistency in customer experience, enhanced parts knowledge, and improved parts sales across their dealer network.


The Strategy

Kinetic collaborated with DTNA Parts to design, develop, and launch the DTNA Parts Academy, which included:

  1. Branding development and a comprehensive communications campaign
  2. Over 30 online training modules, covering topics such as truck systems, inventory management, and parts sales skills
  3. Parts manager instructor-led training
  4. Varying levels of dealer certification requirements
  5. Reward and recognition strategy for completing certification


The Result

The implementation of the DTNA Parts Academy produced very positive outcomes. The structured training and certification program improved parts knowledge and boosted parts sales across the dealer network. This strategic approach is still maintained today, through continuous module updates that ensure training is up-to-date and accurate for parts professionals.
